Founder & Co-President

Asher is a junior in Saybrook College double majoring in Economics and History. He is from Los Angeles and enjoys playing tennis and traveling across the nation to fulfill his quest of visiting all 50 states. Alaska remains his final destination. Outside of YUHA, Asher plays on the Club Squash team and is involved in YES, YUCP, and TAMID. This past summer, Asher interned at Canyon Partners, a distressed debt hedge fund.

Co-President

Jack is the third child of five and is from Greenwich, CT. He is an Economics major in the Class of 2026. The last two summers, he has worked at CAIS, a platform connecting financial advisors to myriad alternative investments including hedge funds. Jack is also a member of YUDI and plays for Yale Men’s Rugby. This past summer, he worked for the NHL as a finance intern.

Vice President

Ava is a junior in Saybrook college majoring in History with a certificate in French. She is from Milwaukee, Wisconsin and loves (watching) college basketball. In addition to YUHA, Ava is involved in Bridges ESL and the Yale Politics Institute . Over the summer, she interned at Crisis Prevention Institute in the marketing department, where she helped to prepare for CPI’s most recent conference, rework the website, and helped the French marketing team translate and establish their key marketing metrics for the creation of their website.

Portfolio Manager

Micah is a sophomore in Morse College majoring in Economics & Mathematics. He is from Baltimore, Maryland and enjoys playing piano, building computers, and hopes to one day get his private pilot’s license. Outside of YUHA, Micah sings in The Baker’s Dozen and is involved in TAMID. Last summer, Micah interned at Patriot Capital, a middle-market PE and growth capital fund, and Brown Advisory, an investment management and strategic advisory firm.

Zeke is a sophomore in Jonathan Edwards majoring in Computer Science. He is from Washington and has been to over half of the U.S. States. This summer, Zeke worked as a Cybersecurity Analyst at Yakima Chief Hops and took two courses at LSE.

Portfolio Manager

Samir is a sophomore in Jonathan Edwards College pursuing a double major in Economics and Applied Mathematics. Originally from Long Island, New York, he has a keen interest in the NBA, NFL, and MLB, regularly watches these sports, and enjoys discussing them. Beyond his academic and athletic interests, Samir finds joy in nature photography. In addition to his involvement with YUHA, he serves as a Yale Alumni Fund Student Ambassador, a member of YUDI, and an IM Secretary for JE. This past summer, Samir took a course on Alternative Investments at the London School of Economics.

Treasurer

Jaylynn is a sophomore in Saybrook College majoring in Ethics, Politics, and Economics. She is from New York City and loves playing basketball in her free time. Outside of YUHA, Jaylynn is involved in Yale Alternative Investments and works for the Yale Alumni Fund. Over the summer, she studied abroad in Barcelona and worked as a dockhand at Manhattan Kayak.

Head of Quantitative Team

Arjan is a junior in Benjamin Franklin College majoring in Applied Mathematics with a concentration in Machine Learning. He is from Atlanta, GA and has a keen interest in AI, algorithmic trading, and financial technologies. Apart from quantitative research at YUHA, Arjan is involved with AI consulting at Yale Undergraduate Capital Partners, SWE at Yale Computer Society, and debate at the Yale Political Union. Last summer, he studied Computational Financial Math and Risk Management at the London School of Economics and interned doing mathematical computation and data science for a startup.

Head of Alumni Engagement

Malena is a sophomore in Silliman college double majoring in Economics and History of Art. She is originally from New York City but has spent over half of her life in Vienna, Austria, and looks forward to getting her German certificate at Yale. This past summer, Malena was invited to complete the Christie's Chairman Program and simultaneously completed coursework at the London School of Economics. She will spend the rest of her summer working as a medical assistant at a pediatric practice in Vienna. Outside of YUHA, Malena is also involved with Yale Alternative Investments and Smart Woman Securities, and works for the Yale University Art Gallery.  

Director of Training

Amal is a sophomore in Silliman College majoring in Computer Science & Economics. He grew up in Dubai, UAE but recently moved to Severn, Maryland. Outside of YUHA, Amal has performed with his saxophone alongside the Yale Concert Band and on the streets of New York, LA, and Boston. He also loves playing pickup basketball. Over the summer, he worked on his software startup, preparing for their product launch in the fall of 2024.

Chief Technology Officer

Kenneth is a sophomore in Ezra Stiles College majoring in Computer Science. He is from San Jose, CA and enjoys playing volleyball, sightseeing, and studying algorithmic trading. Outside of YUHA, Kenneth sings a cappella with Yale's Mixed Company and is involved in YCS. This past summer, he worked at Yale's Interactive Machines Group, implementing large language models within robot policy for social navigation.

Head of Legal & Compliance

Jamie is a sophomore in Grace Hopper College intending to double major in Global Affairs and Spanish. He is from New York City and enjoys playing soccer, learning about the latest ESG investment trends in global markets, and reading about private equity ownership in the realm of sports, technology, media, and telecommunications. Outside of YUHA, Jamie is on the Yale Skeet and Trap team, involved in the Alexander Hamilton Society, and works as an intramural sports referee. This summer he interned at Club Deportivo Leganés, a first division Spanish soccer club based in Madrid, in their international business office. Before that role he worked for Saturn, a social scheduling technology company, where he served as the Yale campus lead for product development and growth.

Chief of Staff

Shelly is a rising sophomore in Pierson College. She is from Michigan and loves retail therapy, specifically buying new make-up and skin care products to try. She plans on majoring in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology with hopes of receiving a stats certificate as well. She spent this past summer conducting research at the Yale School of Medicine.

Social Chair

Caleb is a sophomore is Pauli Murray college studying Philosophy. He is from Columbus, Ohio. In his free time, Caleb enjoys playing ultimate frisbee, cooking new recipes, and growing coral in his saltwater reef aquarium. Outside of YUHA, Caleb is on the management board for Yale Undergraduate Capital Partners, and he is also involved with Chi Alpha. Last summer, Caleb worked as a startup-sourcing scout for Moonarch, a network of leading venture capital firms and angel investors.

Head of Public Affairs

John is a sophomore in Pierson College, who is majoring in Global Affairs. He has lived in Boston for the past eight years, but spent the first twelve years of his life living overseas in Singapore and Hong Kong. John is a huge Patriots fan, and loves talking anything NFL. He has spent the past couple summers volunteering as a peer tutor, and also working as a soccer coach.
